UK EuroMillions ticket Wins £195 Million

A UK EuroMillions winner has won a record jackpot of £195 million, the largest ever for a British lottery. The winning UK EuroMillions ticket will be checked by an independent third party before the lucky winner, who hasn’t yet gone public, receives any lottery prize money.

Will Record UK EuroMillions Winner Stay Anonymous

Unless the winning ticket holder chooses otherwise, no information will be released on who the claimant is or where the ticket was purchased.

Andy Carter, Camelot’s senior winners’ adviser at the national lottery, said: “This is absolutely incredible news.” The winning EuroMillions numbers from Tuesday’s draw were 6, 23, 27, 40, 41, and the Lucky Star numbers 2 and 12. One ticket matched all seven numbers to win £195,707,000 – making them the biggest jackpot winner.

He added: “Last night saw history made with the biggest-ever national lottery prize won by a UK player, and we’re ecstatic that we’ve received a claim.

“Our focus is now on supporting the ticket-holder through the process and helping them start to enjoy their truly life-changing and record-breaking win.” Once validated, the windfall means the winner will be richer than the pop megastars Adele, who is worth £150m, and Tom Jones, who is worth £180m, according to this year’s Sunday Times Rich List.

The previous biggest UK EuroMillions win happened just recently in May and was worth £184 Million. Joe & Jess Thwaite from Gloucester decided to go public with the win and had the following to say.

After looking at the amount, I put the phone down. And then I picked it up again, and I thought about the amount again.

His wife, Jess, added: “We just want to create that kind of lifestyle for our children. We’re right at the bottom because we’ve pushed everything to get this house and to have our ponies at home and that’s been our dream.

Before that, the record for the biggest lottery jackpot was held by an anonymous person who won £170 million in October 2019.
