The world of Lottery is seeing more consolidation with the news that FDJ which currently operates the Lottery Monopoly in France have struck an agreement to take over the running of the Irish Lottery.
€350 Million Irish Lottery Sale
Premier Lotteries Ireland Agree Sale
La Française des Jeux has emerged victorious in a bid for the Irish Lottery with an agreement struck for a €350 Million sale of the Irish Lottery, including sales of EuroMillion tickets to the Irish public.
FDJ as they are known, won the bid despite stiff competition from other notable Lottery companies. These included IGT and Allwyn who recently managed to win the 4th UK Lottery license.
FDJ was previously run by the Government in France but has now been privatized and is seeking to expand its scope outside of its home French market.
This first deal is a good one as Ireland and Irish Lottery players enjoy lottery games and have had many prominent winners of the EuroMillions Lottery.
