EuroJackpot Lottery launched in March 2012 as a trans-European lottery. The new European Lottery game got proposed as a competitor to the EuroMillions Lottery game. Although not as widespread or as popular as Euromillions, the Euro Jackpot Lottery is increasingly played, particularly by online lottery players.

This pan-European Lottery has better winning odds than the much-celebrated EuroMillions and is gaining popularity with lottery players in Northern and Southern Europe. However, even if it pays out more often, EuroMillions remains the most significant Lottery in Europe. Because it pays out more often, the lottery jackpot does not reach the levels of its celebrated lottery cousin.
EuroJackpot Lottery Countries
Lottery Officials from Denmark, Finland, Germany, Italy, Netherlands and Slovenia completed negotiations for the EuroJackpot proposal in November 2011 in Amsterdam. Estonia only decided to take part in the EuroJackpot only after these discussions. As a result, lottery tickets for the first-ever EuroJackpot Lottery draw went on sale on 17th March 2012. The first draw took place six days later, on 23rd March 2012.
Spain Joins the EuroJackpot Lottery

It would be great for the Euro Jackpot lottery as jackpot totals will also increase in size. Currently, 18 different countries take part in this pan-European lottery game.
