The winner of last week’s EuroMillions lottery has come forward to claim their prize, according to the National Lottery. The lucky winner who scooped £84.4 million is now UK’s biggest ever lottery winner and completely overshadows the previous record holder who had won a mere £56 million.

A spokesman for Camelot has said that the owner of the winning ticket has contacted them and they are in the process of verifying the claim. However, it is not known if the winner will choose to remain anonymous. “We are looking forward to welcoming the lucky ticketholder to our millionaires club which is already 2,400 strong. The windfall tops the nation’s recent run of luck with big EuroMillions winners,” said the spokesman. At the moment, it is not known if the winner was an individual or a syndicate.

The winning numbers of the EuroMillions lottery jackpot were 1, 17, 31, 43, 47 and lucky stars 2 and 3. According to the Sunday Time Rich List 2010, if the £84.4 million is won by an individual, it will make them the 789th richest person in the UK with a fortune larger than Sean Connery who is estimated to be worth £80 million and Rowan Atkinson who is worth £70 million.

There were many big winners with last week’s EuroMillions game. 14 players were able to match the five main numbers and one Lucky Star to win an amazing £242,957 each while 22 players matched five numbers to win £43,876 each. Additionally, 135 players matched four main numbers and both Lucky Stars to scoop a prize of £5,107 each.

The past twelve months have been very lucky for British lottery players with several big wins including Nigel Page who, up until last Friday, held the record for UK’s biggest win with £54 million. The next EuroMillions lottery is worth £12,000,000.

We will keep you updated about the winner, so make sure you watch this space!

According to recent reports the ITV soap Emmerdale is about to receive a family who have won the Euromillions Lottery. This popular soap is using the Lottery to mirror what has happened in real life me thinks.

The family who move into the fictional town are apparently a strong drinking, trouble causing bunch of folk who have struck it lucky on the Euromillions. As with all Lotto winners the new family will introduce a bit of glamour to the town, fast cars and shenanigans as well as trying to buy the Woolpack pub before being barred from it.

What are the chances that they plot of this story line has been garnered from the real life happenings of the Norwich winner of the National Lottery who has now spent his entire fortune. A little bit of Euromillions glitz and glamour is about to be added to Emmerdale.

It seems that the media in the UK has finally stopped its media frenzy about the record UK Euromillions Jackpot win. Everything has been examined from the houses that are going to be bought to the unlucky sister in the syndicate who dropped out and life seems a bit strange without a record busting Euromillions to talk about. The one thing that has changed in the UK is the price of the Euromillions ticket. Now we have the Euromillions Millionaire Raffle a ticket costs £2.00 rather than the £1.50 it cost previously.

The extra fifty pence that the Millionaire Raffle costs  goes into creating a new UK millionaire each week and that can only be a good thing in this recession hit economy. The format of the Millionaire Raffle ticket is slightly different to the numbers that are drawn on the Euromillion Lottery. The raffle is alphanumeric with 3 alphabetic characters followed by 6 numbers. The Millionaire Raffle will be printed onto your Euromillions ticket.

The new Euromillions Millionaire Raffle is already stirring up debate with people, the question that is being asked is that the new Millionaire Raffle should be optional like the Dream Numbers in the National Lottery. Well for a mere fifty pence i think that Euromillions have got this right and everybody should participate.

The next Euromillions Jackpot is worth a measly £13 million and we hope that a few rollovers happen as playing for this kind of sum is nowhere near as interesting as dreaming about a massive win and what we would do with all that cash. A lot of it would go to good causes naturally. As they say in the online bingo world GL GL GL .

I hope you have already bought your Euromillions tickets as the draw today is for a whopping £90 million pounds which is the equivalent of just over €100 million euros. That is a monster amount to win on a lottery and qualifies as a euromillions superdraw for sure. The last superdraw took place in September and the huge jackpot was won by a syndicate. We are hoping that a single individual wins it as it makes for better marketing purposes and more fantastic euromillions stories.

In the UK the price of Euromillions tickets are about to increase to £2 pounds per ticket to accommodate a new raffle called the Millionaire Raffle . The intention of this new competition is to ensure that the Euromillion Lottery creates a British millionaire every week. This has worked in other countries like Ireland where they have Euromillions Plus.

Good luck this evening in the massive draw and lets see if there is a massive winner tonight.

There were three winners from the United Kingdom who won this money. There were 19 people who managed to match 5 numbers in the Euromillions and this presented them with a pay day of around £56k which is a healthy old sum.

So the Euromillions Superdraw is over until the next time a few rollovers take place and there is a new Euro millionaire sitting out there counting his or her lucky stars . We look forward to finding out who it is.EuromillionLottery.com managed to match 1 number and two lucky stars to walk away with a first win on the Euromillion Lottery. We pocketed a massive £6.90 from draw 293 which represented a ninety pence profit. As they say , if you aint in it you can not win it and we do love the lottery and all that it stands for and does for different communities around Europe.

Euromillions Superdraw written by Greg

This Friday the 18th of September 2009 the Euromillion Lottery jackpot is officially a Superdraw . I hear you asking how do you classify a Lottery as a Superdraw. Well its quite simple , if the lottery jackpot is an amount that is simply unbelievable then its a superdraw.  The Euromillions jackpot this Friday is worth a massive £85 million. That means that its worth around €95 million euros. That could easily keep you in Pimms for a few years i think.

One of the attractions of Lottery super draws is that it inevitably means a lot more lottery players are going to play to be in with a chance to win the lottery. Even if you are outside of the 8 official countries that take part in the Euro lottery you can still participate by using a good lottery ticket provider. Euromillionlottery.com has chosen one of the best lottery companies to provide this service as they have a proven track record and sell tickets to all of the major lotteries worldwide.  Click on the banner below to have a chance in this Euromillions superdraw.
