UK Lottery Player wins EuroMillions Jackpot

EuroMillions operator Camelot has revealed that last night’s £45 million lottery has been won by a UK lottery player. However, at the moment no one has come forward to claim the prize.

The win comes two weeks after a British couple Gareth and Catherine Bull won £40million two weeks ago. Last night’s prize is the seventh largest EuroMillions prize to be won in the UK and the winning numbers were 3, 15, 17, 28 and 33 with the Lucky Star 2 and 4.

At the moment it is not known if the winning ticket is an individual or a syndicate but if the £45 jackpot was won by a single person it would make them as rich as Hugh Grant.

A Camelot spokesperson said, “We look forward to paying out this lucky ticket-holder and of course have the champagne on ice. It is fantastic news to have another UK winner so soon after Gareth and Catherine Bull from Mansfield won £40million.”

“These big draws help raise the £30 million the National Lottery generates for good causes every week,” he said.
Last night’s winners will be the recipients of the seventh largest EuroMillions prize in the UK. The biggest ever prize was won by Colin and Christine Weir last July who won a massive £161 million.

The second largest winner who chose to stay anonymous won £113 million last year while Dave and Angela Dawes were the third largest winners winning £101 million in October.

The fourth largest jackpot was won in May 2012 for £84 million and the fifth largest prize was won by Nigel Page and Justine Laycock in February 2010 who scooped £56 million.

Les and Sam Scadding in South Wales won £45millon in November 2009 as the sixth biggest payout with the Euro Millions Lottery.
