EuroMillions £41M Winners Revealed
The winners of the EuroMillions £41 million jackpot were revealed today in a press conference. Gareth and Catherine Bull from Mansfield in Nottinghamshire, won the jackpot of £40,627,241 in the draw on January 20.
Gareth who is a self-employed builder and his wife Catherine are now as rich as Kylie Minogue, Mick Hucknall and Pete Townshend thanks to their life changing win. During the press conference the couple talked about their experience of winning the lottery.
Gareth had purchased a EuroMillions ticket on a whim when he could not start a building job because of the weather as he did not want to get rained on. When checking the winning numbers against the ticket, at first the couple thought they had won £4,000 and then £40,000.
Gareth said: “All of this has happened at a crazy fast speed since Saturday and it is hard to keep up. We have our dream home which we built from scratch and it is impossible to think about what we are going to do next yet.”
“We have only told a few people so far so it will be exciting to sit down together as a family and work out plans for the future,” he said.
When asked about their plans for the money, Gareth revealed that on top of his shopping list is a box at Manchester United, along with a Range Rover sport, a villa and a trip to Disney in Florida for the children.
Catherine on the other hand has said that she has no plans on changing her routine but did want to get a new carpet for the upstairs landing. The couple also plan on supporting charities, in particular, breast cancer charities.
The Euro Millions lottery has been re-set and is worth £12 million tonight.
