EuroMillions 40M Jackpot

EuroMillions will have a new rule that will be brought into effect on 17th February 2012 which will guarantee that the jackpot is paid out when it reaches a certain level. At the moment, there is a cap and when the jackpot reaches £160 million, the jackpot stops growing and instead, the lower tiered prizes benefit from rollovers.

However, as per the current rule, the jackpot can keep rolling until it is won and should the EuroMillions prize won when it is worth £160 million, the cap will increase to £163 million from that point on.

As per the new rule, the jackpot cap will only apply for two consecutive draws after which the fund will roll down to the next prize tier if it isn’t won. This is good news for all EuroMillions players who will benefit from the jackpot rolling down to the lower tiers.

In the meanwhile, tonight’s EuroMillions jackpot is worth a massive £40,000,000 after rolling over three times. The results for last Tuesday were 12 – 22 – 30 – 31 – 44 and Lucky Stars 5 and 6 however, as no lottery player was able to match them all, the lottery rolled over yet again.

Though the big prize wasn’t won, several players had big wins with the second and third tier prizes. Seven players won £130,300 each as the second level prize when they match five mains and one lucky star.

Nine players won £33,488 each when they matched five mains as the third tier prizes and in total 1.8 million lottery players had wins with the EuroMillions lottery. One UK lottery player won £1,000,000 with the Raffle Number NBJ899770 as part of the Millionaire Raffle Draw which guarantees a millionaire every draw.
