3.5M in Unclaimed Euro Million Lottery Prizes
The UK National Lottery has announced that EuroMillions prizes worth a total of £3.59 millions remains unclaimed and will be donated to good causes by the end of the month.
The first two tickets are from the Millionaire Raffle on 7th June this year and one of the winners purchased their ticket in Cannock Chase, Staffordshire while the other in the Metropolitan Borough of Stockport. These tickets, if remained unclaimed by 4th December will be donated.
The third EuroMillions lottery ticket was purchased on 1st July and is worth £159,128 as a second tier prize. The ticket was purchased in the Vale of White Horse area in Oxfordshire and the winning numbers for that draw were 8, 11, 23, 31, 46 and Lucky Stars 8 and 9. This prize has an expiry date of 28th December 2011.
Since its inception, the UK National Lottery has generated over £27 billion for Good Causes. When a lottery prize is won the winner has up to 180 days to claim the prize after which it is donated.
Many a times lottery players check their tickets only against the main prize not realising that games like EuroMillions have a total of thirteen prizes for every lottery and an additional £1,000,000 for UK lottery players with the Millionaire Raffle ticket.
For example, last week, though the EuroMillions jackpot had no winner, several players won life changing prizes nevertheless. The second tier prize of $1,334,749 was won by 1 player who matched five mains and one star while the third tier prize of $111,229 was won by 4 players.
A good way to avoid missing out on prizes is to play lottery online by registering an account with UK National Lottery which then informs players of a win via e-mail. Alternatively, players can check lottery results online at EuroMillion Lottery.
