EuroMillions news this morning is strangely not about the massive £81 million jackpot on offer, rather it is about the strange hacking of the French EuroMillions site. Each of the countries that officially take part in the EuroMillion Lottery has a website in its own language and accordingly the French have theirs.
The French version which is run by Francaise des Jeux was hit by the attack on Sunday morning and was still not in operation late on Sunday night. According to reports the site was attacked by a group calling themselves MorrocanGhosts. They apparently left a message on the site calling the Lottery the work of the Devil.
As stated the jackpot for this Tuesdays lottery draw is a massive £81 million which roughly converts to a little over €100 million. According to FDJ no data was compromised in this attack and none of its games have been compromised. It is however highly embarrassing for Francaise De Juex as this is the first time that a EuroMillion site has been hijacked in this way.
